Alexx Getting Inked by Kat Von D

Horn Like A Needle

Come blow your soul Mr. Coltrane
Here’s my arm I'm tappin my vein
Someone’s feelin’s have shifted
An my spirit needs
To be lifted
That thin line has blurred between pleasure an pain

I've compounded the confusion
Witnessed a world of
hatred
greed
and wicked lies
Mixed
with a master minded illusion
Then tried to cut off all ties.

But your horns just like a needle
Soothing all my pain
Shoots your drug through my heart
Directly to my brain

I been searching for this feelin
in all the wrong places
From the ground up to the ceiling
thought I'd covered all my bases
I used to keep all my feelings
Bottled up deep down inside
That movie they were showin me
Brought tears to my eyes….

So come blow your soul Mr. Coltrane
Cuz things lately haven’t been
as they once seemed
Gimme shelter
from this driving rain

Break me off a peace
of your love supreme.

I Taste The Salt

In dreams
It seems
I jumped ship
To fight crashing waves
Swam with transatlantic
Slaves
For days
Above
Watery
Graves
Swimming for freedom
And
A brighter day

But me?
I am lucky
Because when I awoke
Except for the sweat upon my head
The dream was broke
I was dry lying
In my bed

But sometimes at night
I still taste the salt
And think about
The dead
Still swimming for a freedom
That
Never manifested.
